contemporary living room table lamps

hi i'm ann myrick and today i'm going to tellyou how to buy a table lamp. you really need to think about where you want it. is it goingto be in a specific area or do you want to buy just a great lamp and then move it around?i'm a decorator so i tend to move everything around so i tend to like to buy things notjust for one area but that i can put on one table and then move it to another table ifi need to so over here we have one, there are many ways to buy lamps. you can buy differentthings, have it put together for a lamp as in this example, i found this bunny and itook it to a lamp store and then had the lamp made so i specifically had the lamp made forthe table. these are very old lamps that i found. i found the lamps, i loved them butthen i went and found great shades because

the shades that were on them looked like grandmashades and i wanted to, i loved the lamp so i wanted to really spruce it up so i foundthese great shades. what you want to think about in a lamp is where it is going to go,if you are going to use it for a reading lamp you want it tall and you want a nice substantiallamp. i would get a variety of lamps. sometimes i will go into client's houses and i willsee that they have all of these small narrow tall lamps that sometimes belong on a buffetbut they have them every place and and i would say get a variety, get some big lamps, getsome smaller lamps, use some black shades, use different types of shades but you reallywant to think about where it is going and what type of lamp you need for that area.this is ann myrick and that is how you pick
