hi. i'm jim from manderley manor the homeof stickley furniture in toronto, canada and right here we have a great example of a stickleymorris chair it's their 406 loose cushion chair and what i like about the stickley furnitureit's you've got the â¼ cut white oak from new york state and pennsylvania. but stickleydoes things a little differently. this post here is a stickley innovation. it's calledquadralinear post and what it is, they've come up with a way of having the ray flakeon each of the 4 sides. they do that by taking 4 separate pieces of wood and putting themtogether and surrounded by a core that holds it all together. in that way you get the greatfacing, once again, on each of the 4 sides. a beautiful through tenon here, it's not anapplication. you'll see some inferior copies

that this will be applied. this is actuallythe post coming right through and you can see they have duplicated it back here. greatexample, wonderful leather in this case, but just wonderful ray flake liberally dispersedthroughout the entire piece. and because it's wood no 2 chairs are exactly alike. and it'sso comfortable. we sell a good volume of these chairs just on the comfort. they can be usedanywhere. i'm going to sit in this for a while. yeah, they can be used in a living room ora family room, great for tv viewing and just a real great example of stickley construction- pinned through tenons front and back, great design, great construction, great finish.
