00:30 ding dong. ding dong. ding. 00:49 what day is this? you're right. friday. yeah. 00:54 what are you going to do? are you good.
mine too. 01:04 oh i hope it's a nice day and i outdoorsand you get a good rest yeah and maybe you'll be able to play outdoors again fine. have lots of fun. i want to ask you a question. have you ever been to the dentist. you know who that is who. right. he's the man who fixes your teeth.
01:35 he does he has a chair that somethinglike a barber's chair when you crawl into it. climb up crawl in. what happened. make it get higher and higher and higher andhigher. that's right. are right it does hurt a little but when youhave to have something fixed it does make a difference that no so if you've never beento the data yet when the time comes for you to go you know the data is and what he does.
and then you'll know what to expect. when i woke up this morning i thought of somethingthat i wanted to do today. i mean you haven't done for quite awhile. i want to blow bubbles. and 02:25 here's the table. look at the year herb with water. charles was so little sopan you like to blowbubbles. you're going to blow bubbles back and fire.
i know i didn't tell you that we were goingto blow bubbles today. you don't want to miss the soap all up. yes i do. the pipe just make it here. well you do that to put enough soap in ityou have a big tub like this back kapleau bubble with just plain water. it. i wonder if i'll get big bubbles or littlebubbles today. now you ready to watch.
really. what a hard or just a little low slung ears. the pipes get down slowly. blushing like a little babbo maybe a littleyou'll hear me blow bubbles. 04:01 there some of them are bathinda theylike it first. 05:07 let's try it again. i know he's down to down take a breath tobe able to blow bubbles. sometimes you have to stop take another breathturn. 05:24 you have to be careful not to tilt thepipe back and keep it right out.
great. just get a mouthful of soapy water. now that see what happens. 06:06 oh let's see. i think we'll get a big one maybe this time. i don't know. 06:12 let's try it didn't get really verybig one did we. 06:58 no. 07:00 no.
not a real big one that time. maybe someday time we'll get a big one. now when you finish blowing bubbles what happens. yes. always dry the bubble pipeline so that itwon't break you dry very carefully inside and outside. that's the important thing. oh that was fun sometimes to blow bubblesand sometimes little but sometimes in a noise sometimes they're very very very quiet.
07:44 you hear in your head the noise whenyou didn't hear the quiet look right here. 07:57 work on right here in the crib togetherso many good men and you're comfortable in it are you. 08:10 well i have a book poem. oh some of my favorite going and i want youto hear them. you remember when you said a picture a pictureof a turtle a big girl. oh and you made one out of clay to rememberthat. and i said we had a poem about a turtle andsomeday i would find it. remember that.
08:36 oh this is a wonderful comment was writtenby rachel lindsay and it is such fun maybe you know you know what made you say it withme. and it's called the little turtle. it's about a little bird there once was alittle turtle. he lives in a box. he swam in a puddle and he climbed on therock. he nap then a mosquito get that he snappedin the middle and hit me. 09:09 nick caught the mosquito. he caught the plane.
he caught the middle but he didn't catch me. 09:19 oh i like that. did you think that that was going to catchyou in your room. know when you know they told him they wroteanother one and this one is about the moon the moon. oh and it has such an interesting title. the moon the north wind cookee the moon thenorth winds cookie. now when you know what i mean. remember we talked about crescent and a newmoon a tiny crescent.
you remember that. 09:54 well then we got a full moon right wheni. you look at the mountains the north winds. like this. day by day until they are remote. scrap that crumble all over the south windthe baker in the clouds then. 10:11 and because a new moon the greedy northwind i guess an interesting one too. adrian count one more. 10:25 no this one is.
lots and lots and lots of fun yes the nameof this one. oh it's about something that you see all thetime. it's called my shadow. did you ever see your own shadow. what does it look like. sometimes it gets short and fat. i'm not that tall and thin. oh this is about eyeshadow. 10:48 listen i have a little shadow that goesin and out with me.
and what can be the use of me is more thani can. the heat is very very like me from you upto my head and i see him jump before me when i jump into my bed. the 11:09 funniest thing about him is the wayhe likes to throw me out at all like proper children which is always very boring. sometimes shoots up taller i can india rubberball and sometimes get so little that there's none of him at all. he hasn't got a notion of how children oughtto play and can only make a fool of me and
every sort of way they so close beside meyou coward. 11:43 you can see i think i think shame tostick to nursery as that shadow sticks to me. one morning very early when the sun was upi rose and found the shining do on every buttercup but my lazy little shadow like an errant sleepyhead had made it home behind and was fast to sleep in their own shadows or locked upon earth. 12:16 this love love love this one. sure you can play with your shadow that waybut you shall do all the things that the shadow. where have you ever seen yours.
on the sidewalk on the wall patio on the garagedoor. 12:32 do you like that. did you like it sure. did you like all those food. i think you know some of them. 12:41 well i have to say them again and againand then we'll all learn to be fun to say though we will need a book and we need a bookto read. would you like something to show right hereon the table right here. look what we have.
13:03 you know this don't you. what is the big yellow box with the big blueletters on it. what does it say hick mistake hornpipe. this is a new box to look at the just readyto put on the pantry shelf so that is where they're right on the shelf when you want topractice to offer light opera topic to say when the sun came down to breakfast some morningand find a bowl of cake that looked like this. 13:40 miling right up at you. look at that blueberry. two eyes nose and mouth.
that mouth is really mine and we have a bowlof cake too right here. this 13:56 one doesn't have a face on it but lookingfor pieces of banana picking up on the sides and a half of a fresh peach right in the middle. the malicious moon makes my mouth water andwe have a third bowl of kids right here. look at the life pictures all around the sideof a dish blueberry queen each flight and the all kick. those would be very very good for breakfastone day. yeah you know why they taste so good.
why. because they're hungry and ambitious. they take chris to the last booneville andthey have a wonderful corn flavor. 14:51 that's right. 14:53 so when you're ready for breakfast youthink about having all the kids while they're going say earlier this morning we had lotsof fun blowing bubbles and then yes we had lots of fun reading symposium and thinkingabout all those shadows and turtles and the moon and you know them has a very differentshape doesn't it. sometimes sometimes it's a crescent sometimesit gets bigger and thicker and then sometimes
it can be a real full moon. well there are some other things too thatare lots of fun. something else that i want to do a lot. love the fun. i'm not going to tell you what it is. no no. sometimes i do it sometimes somebody elsedoesn't. i'm happy daddy might want to do it. it's fun to do on your lap sometimes you doit on table.
and next time i want to do it on the tablei want to go the table with morning adequate weather and anything on the table. 16:01 not a thing. no. 16:04 no pies no dishes no books nothing. we think we're going to we can't do anything. just your hand on an empty table. you need something. and we do need something and we're going todo what we what is this what does it look
like a napkin looks like a place that lookslike a small table cloth. 16:34 you know what it really is is a handkerchiefjust like the one your daddy had your granddaddy or your uncle. sure it's a big man. so i get to do play with just a little kidyou know. well look this is what we're going to do. 16:59 same thing folded like that before. why of course. 17:06 makes a try.
it really doesn't make the time. yeah i do this trying a lot just with my hand. i haven't anything out. put it put my hand under it like that andi'm going over it and get this corner. hook it up here. pull it up like this and i'm going to takethis corner put it down under here and oh snap it up. 17:42 here we go. just like it doesn't look like brain muchyet.
but this corner here put up a blog post wentup a little more and left what we. 18:01 what do we have what do you think itis. a rabbit with lop-ear series you don't knowwhich way to flop first. 18:16 oh there are so many things you do withthat and you start to get really that for the show like that. 18:27 foldit again chaffe the way it was beforei read it this way for many. and i'm going to start rolling this corner. roll 18:39 it and roll it and roll it.
i started this corner and roll it and rollit and keep on rolling. i wrote both the well what do you think thisis going to be. 19:14 you don't know. you are not sure what to look like. why just two. well it looks just like a rolled up handkerchief. you're 19:25 right. bend it over this way.
they take it underneath them. hold it. i am going to pull them down. 19:41 they pull easily and somehow they don'tjust spin. well look what came out. look at this move in here in a cradle littlehammer. two down one. they're very close together. there are two of them look.
20:04 you can swing chess playing chess witha handkerchief and making thing you put right out again. what do you have. 20:18 looking for just a large size. and can you say you know what i think wouldbe lots of fun when your daddy or grand daddy or mother or uncle or some one comes hometonight. 20:34 i think it would be a lot of fun foryou to ask him or her make out with a handkerchief a rabbit or a cradle with two dolls in it. you do that what will you do if they say theydon't know how to do it.
will you'll be able to help them show themhow to do it. well you really. oh good. all because i felt surprised and pleased toits luck and luck. 21:10 but you. maybe you'll think of something up. not really. 21:15 not that i agree with no what i wantto do now. 21:22 all i want to do haven't played withit for a long long time and so do i like it.
i certainly do. what do you do with your ball your big ball. you roll it and sometimes you throw it intosomething. you know what i want to do. 21:45 is what just like dropping a look when you're about to just let go. 21:57 there you have bohdan. 21:58 and you just let go of what you wereworried about the ball. 22:08 your ball won't bounce right off witha big beach ball.
22:14 and it had a place at one end that makeit so. but this is a rubber ball. you don't have to have a big ball about thatyou can have any size ball. yes you can have a little ball or you havea big ball but remember that if you miss it a ball rolls away doesn't it. and that's what you have to remember to holdon him. 22:35 if it rolls the way out into the streetyou wouldn't run after today. remember it's friday. so there's no ding-dong school tomorrow andno ding-dong school on saturday.
but there will be again on monday. we're going to have a fine weekend. good for you. you just have a good one. you know what time it is who's at home withyou. 23:04 well i think you remember all. because his talent is already to play. and you remember where to go. all right.
23:13 well get them. 23:41 thank you boys. thank you very much. you may go play now. 23:46 i hope you have a very happy weekendbecause i want to talk to whoever is at home with you. now say we had lots of fun this morning playingwith a large sized man handkercher. you know many many things you can do withhechinger. well we made a rabbit had made a cradle withtwo little dolls and it's morning and i'm
sure you'll think of many many other thingsthat can be made. i suggested really very quietly to the childrenwhoever come home tonight that they ask that person to make out of a handkerchief a rabbithead or a cradle. and if they can't do it i think the childrenmight be able to show them how it's a little tricky at first and we'll do it again oneday next week just in case they haven't gotten just in case you don't remember how to rollit. 24:36 try together. just think what fun it would be to ask someoneto make one for you and not have them know how you'll be even if you know you'll pretendthat you don't.
they would love that. and of course playing with a handkerchiefis the kind of thing you do in the car on an airplane on a train just anywhere on apicnic. you know when things get just a little bitrestless they also this morning we had them put some lovely poem with children i knowwe'd like to learn as they go along. the two of them were they to lindsy the turtleand the moon the north winds cookie and then we had a third one the shadow my shadow byrobert louis stevenson. it was locked so lots of fun. we had something else too.
25:17 it's interesting a lot of fun with youknow about like you know today is our day with general mills make take. we're ready to eat crispy orren tough cereal. and of course one of the reasons that we enjoyhim so much is because it is not only ready to eat but it's so crisp and so delicious. and it stays crisp and you know clear throughto the last spoonful. and this is the family size package whichmeans if you get a package like this it'll last at least a couple of days. and of course cakes are delicious plain withsugar and milk or combined with fruit.
and i was just thinking you know sometimeswith lots of fun to surprise children with a bowl of kicks for breakfast. so when they actually come down sit down atthe table the fun the surprise of seeing a ball all rings for them. 26:11 look at this one which is a ball kickedwith four bananas pieces of banana around it and a half of a fresh peach in the middle. now the combination of a soft banana and adelicious french peach with chris corn puff is really a delightful combination. and that's just the kind of thing that youwant to start your day off with it.
we have another one here too that i thinkchildren enjoy so many times. and here's a face. this one happened to be made out of blueberries. and the face is always a smile. the mouth turns up and they really just chucklewhen they sit down and see this one. and then of course another combination isa good one and that is this one where you put the fruit around the bowl like the frenchpeaches the blueberry or any kind of berry between just whatever you have in the houseand then put the kick right in the center. 27:06 he did that even a different way ofit.
and i think that that's a really nice warmmorning when you want something very refreshing for breakfast what could be better and tosit down to a bowl of kicks crispy corn puffs. they not only are crisp and delicious to tastebut they also have minerals vitamins and protein. just what we need to make it possible forus to have a good day. getting back to the weekend. you'll be very glad you did. i'm sure. well you know here it is the end of july whichmeans half of the summer is over. really doesn't seem possible with the daysjust to have a way of flying back.
27:50 and if you have planned some thingswith your children that you want to do with them or for them or they with you be a goodtime just about now to take inventory wouldn't and see what where the plans really were carriedout and what plan did we find we couldn't carry out. it was impractical for one reason or another. we no longer can do it. well that's pretty important to sit down andtalk it over with children and see what things we are going to do during the month of augustand the early part of september. and i think that the children need to knowthey need to enjoy the planning and evaluation
of a plan. so many times we plan things and then we forgetlater we weight them and of course if children are going to make plans for themselves. 28:40 one of the important things for themto learn is to later evaluate the plan and see how well it worked if it didn't work. well time for me to say goodbye. do i have a happy weekend and enjoy your child. well i'll see you on monday. good
28:57 bye.
